It is hard to believe that fall is almost here (especially when temps are still in the mid-to-upper 80’s).
It never fails, though fall is my FAVORITE season, when the sweaters start appearing in stores in July/August I always feel like there is NO WAY I can start thinking about dressing in chunky knits (Am I right?!)
There are ways, however, to transition your sweaters effortlessly into the fall season, while it is still warm outside.
My favorite way? Pairing (cropped) sweaters with shorts.
Sweaters that are cut shorter offer less material, so they are less bulky. This helps the transition styling feel less like fall on top and summer on bottom. The trick is to pair lightweight, shorter knits with comfortable denim (shorts). I also like to start transitioning my lightweight knits with white jeans as well.
This Line & Dot sweater is not only cozy, but it is the perfect ‘cropped’ length. The silhouette is more relaxed and the ivory color is an ideal neutral. I also love the buttons and details in the stitching.
While I cannot wait to wear this knit with brown boots in the fall, I am loving it with jean shorts and sneakers for the time being.
